Raytown is one of the metro's oldest inner-ring suburbs. Most of it went up in a single wave between 1955 and 1975, which means two things at once: the concrete is old, and the town is full. There is very little open ground left to build on. Most Raytown jobs are small replacements, so the Missouri land-disturbance rule that kicks in at an acre through the MoDNR rarely applies here.
